Paolo Iotti and Marco Pavarani are considered architects on the rise in their generation. In the specific conditions of the Italian architectural scene they are still referred to as ‘young architects’ (although both were born in 1973). It is not because architects in Italy do not age thanks to the miraculous climatal conditions or Mediterranean cuisine, but because of the great difficulties in professional development, which is, naturally, an opposite argument.
